For the first time, more than US$600m was made in total revenue from all forms of gambling in the US state of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has confirmed. The total revenue figure for May came in at $601,883,369, an increase of 15.52 per cent over May 2024. Revenue from retail slots was the biggest contributor to the total, bringing in $224.9m, a rise of 5.02 per cent year-on-year.

Eighty-four illegal aliens were arrested on June 17 at the Delta Downs Racetrack in Calcasieu Parish, near Vinton, Louisiana, US, owned by Boyd Gaming. The arrests were made during a worksite enforcement operation conducted by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the U.S. Border Patrol, the Louisiana State Police, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the FBI.

Named PAGCOR Guarantee, the site allows members of the public to check the legitimacy of online gaming providers. “This new website will help our players easily identify and verify whether the online gaming sites are duly licensed before playing or making any payments,” said PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco.
