MARION COUNTY, Tenn. — The 2025 Major League Fishing championship came to a dramatic conclusion Sunday afternoon when Dustin Connell, from Clanton, Alabama won by a commanding margin. In a major surprise however, Connell won the tournament, based on Alabama's Guntersville Lake, by fishing in Tennessee. In spite of one-hour morning weather delay, Connell powered his boat 70 miles upriver from the takeoff point and fished the entire day immediately below Nickajack Dam in Marion County.
