James Gunn has clarified the status of Sgt. Rock, revealing that the in-development DCU movie may still happen. Despite not being part of the original Chapter 1 - Gods and Monsters announcement in January 2023, Sgt. Rock quickly picked up steam at Warner Bros. when director Luca Guadagnino and writer Justin Kuritzkes, hot off Challengers, were hired to direct and pen the script for the movie, respectively.

When the greatest superhero movies ever made get mentioned, a few titles tend to get repeated. The Dark Knight, Superman: The Movie, Spider-Man 2, The Avengers, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Those are great superhero movies, but one that sadly gets overlooked is 2011's X-Men: First Class. The fifth film in the X-Men franchise and a prequel explaining the team's origins, X-Men: First Class had the odds stacked against it.

Anson Mount, who plays Captain Christopher Pike on the hit Paramount+ series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, has spoken about the news of the recently announced Season 5 being the series' final installment. Strange New Worlds Season 3 does not debut until July 2025, but fans are already preparing to say goodbye. After a long delay to the silver screen, Disney's Elio is finally arriving in theaters, and in classic Pixar fashion, the reviews are good. Despite the film getting a behind-the-scenes overhaul, it seems to have beat the odds. James Gunn looked at what makes Batman so popular to help inform his version of Superman, but not in the way fans might expect. Superman is one of the most anticipated films of 2025, and also one with a great deal of expectations put upon it. Not only does it need to launch a cinematic universe, but also restore the popularity of one of DC's most beloved heroes in an age where it seems people have moved on from him.

I finally allowed to post about #PredatorKillerofKillers and it RULES!!! 2024 was Brat Summer, well 2025 is Predator Summer. One Predator wears a cape made out of spines and I pumped my fist in the air for a solid minute. As soon as it comes on Hulu, watch it. https://t.co/wa8q2W0O4S

I really loved #Thunderbolts! Much more than just “Marvel’s Suicide Squad.” While it is fun summer blockbuster with some great laughs, it is a more emotionally dark than I was expecting. A movie about how despair grows in darkness, and light comes from realizing we aren’t alone. https://t.co/ggIrxbxBbf
