Dear Richard,Our beloved chocolate labrador bitch is generally well-behaved and affectionate but she has one anti-social habit, which is "mounting" other dogs, people's legs, soft toys and even furniture. We were surprised to learn that female dogs sometimes do this and, having looked further into it, we think it's a simple expression of excitement and nothing to worry about unless a larger dog mistakes it for an assertion of dominance and attacks her.

Dear Richard,For about six months last year I often used ChatGPT to write reports and press releases at work. I'd give the resulting prose a read and a light edit before sending it on, but I was snowed under and I felt as if I had no choice. Now senior management has explicitly banned the use of AI software, after issues with accuracy. The trouble is, I've had a couple of pieces of work sent back for being too "quirky" - the bland AI prose was what the bosses require, it seems.

Dear Richard,I've been asked to be the best man at a friend's wedding in July and it's scary, but I feel proud to be asked and I want to do a good job. Dear Richard,I'm expecting a baby in the summer, and my husband and I are talking names. There's a pretty, traditional Celtic name which she (we know it's a girl) would share with a relative on both sides. It all seemed too good to be true, and of course it was. My mother-in-law went absolutely postal. Her stepmother had this name and it turns out she has a litany of grievances (some of them quite justified) against her.

Dear RichardI am a successful fine artist from an "aspirational" working-class background - I went to art college in a time of full grants, when you could spend a few years on the dole afterwards. I haven't had the huge success of people like Tracey Emin but my work has sold consistently, and I've paid tax on the money it brought me since I was in my 30s (I'm 54 now).
