    Three Mount Prospect Elementary School Dist. 57 board members and one challenger locked up four, four-year school board seats in the Tuesday, April 1 consolidated election. With all 20 precincts reporting, current board members Eileen Kowalczyk, Pam Nelson and Jennifer Ciok were victorious, as well as challenger Raymond Doerner. Kowalczyk received the most unofficial votes with 2,554 (22.05%), followed by Ciok with 2,499 (21.58%), 2,265 (19.56%) for Nelson, and 1,631 (14.08%) for Doerner.

    Palatine Dist. 1 Councilman Tim Millar is not conceding the April 1 election to challenger Greg Langer, but he does not anticipate an influx of mail-in votes in his favor. With all nine district precincts reporting, Langer continues to lead with 610 votes compared to Millar’s 540. “I am not going to win,” said Millar, who has served on the council for the last 12 years.     Even though mail-in votes are still being tabulated, as well as write-in votes from the April 1 consolidated election, current Mount Prospect Trustee John Matuszak has been voted in since he received the most votes of the three candidates that were on the ballot. Five candidates in all were seeking three, four-year seats on the Mount Prospect Village Board. Of those five, two were write-in candidates whose names did not appear on ballots in Jack Brogan and Jeannie Lee-Macatangay.
