Expect daytime highs reaching the mid to upper 90s, providing the perfect excuse to fire up the grill or take a dip in the pool. While the heat is building up, a few brief showers are still sauntering around southeast Georgia.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Tonight’s weather features a noticeable shift as lingering showers move out, making way for sunny skies and higher temperatures. According to WJXT’s meteorologist Richard Nunn, a few spotty showers are currently observed north of downtown, near the airport, but they’re expected to clear out soon. While some rain showers linger, the transition to drier air is anticipated later tonight. Clear skies will dominate the forecast as we move into Wednesday.

The line of showers and storms we tracked during the evening shows along I-75, is now bringing rounds of wet weather to I-95 and the beaches.
