    Jacksonville, FL – Scattered showers and storms are developing along the Gulf Coast sea breeze from I-75 to Highway 301, affecting northeast Florida and southeast Georgia. These will move toward I-95 and the beaches through sunset, with some showers and storms continuing until around midnight. A cold front will move south on Thursday, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the afternoon and evening.

The summer heat and humidity are here with a few showers brewing along our southern counties. Scattered showers with storms will develop along the sea breeze for NE FL and SE GA. The heat will continue as a series of fronts slowly push through area through Friday with rain chances daily.

The record for today is 99 degrees, set in 1962. The record high for Wednesday is 99 degrees, set in 1938. A weak cold front will move through Wednesday afternoon, bringing a 30-50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Isolated strong to severe storms are possible.

    Near record highs continue with a chance of showers and thunderstorms on WednesdayA hot start to the week with afternoon highs once again flirting with record temperatures. The record for today is 96 degrees set in 1899. The record high for Tuesday is 99 degrees, set in 1962. Although our temperatures will be above normal on Tuesday, they will fall short of hitting the record level.
