    Evanston residents welcomed back the field house to the Sixth Ward’s Bent Park in late May. The Field House had been shut down for nearly three years following a 2022 fire caused by fireworks, according to a city official.     A Northbrook man was charged with felony aggravated assault against a municipal employee after he pointed a handgun at a village of Northbrook code enforcement official, police say, in a dispute over a permit to install solar panels. Police later obtained a search warrant and discovered a stockpile of guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition in the resident’s home.
