BOISE, Idaho — The man accused of killing a fellow Idaho State Correctional Center (IDOC) inmate changed his plea on Wednesday. Court documents show James M. Johnson, 33, changed his plea to guilty on a first-degree murder charge and destruction/concealment of evidence. Johnson is accused of killing 45-year-old Milo Warnock in December 2023. Johnson initially pleaded not guilty in October 2024.

BOISE, Idaho — The Ada County Coroner's Office identified a man who was shot multiple times in Nampa and died from his injuries on Sunday. The coroner's office said 30-year-old Jesus Leal Peñuelas of Caldwell died at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso. On Jan. 12, The Canyon County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) responded to a reported shooting at 1:15 a.m. at a home on the 2100 block of North Middleton Road near West Karcher Road.

BOISE, Idaho — The Boise Police Department (BPD) said on Friday, while attempting to arrest a Boise special education assistant in a child exploitation case, the man died from self-inflicted injuries. Gavin Snow, 22, a Valley View Elementary School employee, hurt himself when officers arrived at a home on North Mountain View Drive to make an arrest and later died, according to Boise Police.

BOISE, Idaho — The Boise Police Department (BPD) is asking the public for help in finding a potential witness to a crash that took the life of 23-year-old Nathan Gould. On Dec. 15, BPD said it responded to a reported crash at 7:10 a.m. where a man, later identified as Gould, was hit by a vehicle on Five Mile and Bridgetower Drive. Boise Police said the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and is "cooperating with the investigation." Gould died at the hospital on Dec.
