    There are animated movies that come around and reshape the world of animation and culture. Tony Goss-directed Book of Joshua: Walls of Jericho is not one of those movies and there is a lot that could have been improved. The film begins with Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt and escaping the pharaoh’s wrath. When Moses passes away, Joshua becomes his successor and he takes the Israelites to the city of Jericho to vanquish the evil city by order of his divine God.

The film starts with a group of friends traveling to a secluded cabin, which seems to be commonplace for how young adult horror movies start out since Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead franchise from all of those years ago.

    Anchored by a gripping performance from Cate Blanchett, this movie proves to be an interesting, if somewhat bizarre, tale of an outsider with a bigger purpose. The story follows a young, dark-skinned, Aboriginal, feral boy who attacks some Australian horsemen. The child is taken to a monastery for young boys led by a small group of nuns. It is later found out that the boy has some supernatural powers.
