    A WEST  London pier has undergone a name change after campaigners criticised the previous title for evoking Britain’s colonial past. Formerly known as Plantation Wharf Pier, the site will now be called St Mary’s Wandsworth, following public pressure to address its historic links to slavery. Located on the Thames between Chelsea Harbour and Wandsworth Riverside Quarters the pier was acquired by Uber Boat by Thames Clippers in 2019.
