Christopher Cody Rhodes, 36, of Alexandria, Missouri, was arrested at 7:44 p.m. at the South Lee County Courthouse in Keokuk on a warrant for Judgment Entry/Mittimus. Rhodes was jailed. Kyle Gerard Wellman, 26, of West Point, was arrested at 7:54 p.m. at the Lee County Jail on a warrant for Judgment Entry/Mittimus. Wellman was jailed.

Augusta Assembly of God will celebrate its 90th anniversary on Sunday, May 18. Services begin at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.Sister Dorothy Karnes from Tacoma, Washington, will speak. She and her late husband, David, pastored this church in the late 50s. A potluck dinner will follow the morning service; visitors need not bring food. KAHOKA, Mo. – Gene Ray Tanner, 75, of Kahoka, Missouri, died Tuesday, May 6, 2025, after a 5-day stay at the Clark County Nursing Home, in Kahoka, with his family by his side. According to his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation or funeral service.

Kari Richards is a registered nurse who has been employed in the field of nursing for about 27 years. A Keokuk native, she was born in one of the two Keokuk hospitals, St. Joseph’s. Now, Keokuk is without even one hospital. However, Richards works at The Keokuk Clinic, which is located just west of the Hampton Inn on Main Street. “At the Keokuk Clinic we offer primary care, walk-in clinic, diagnostic imaging like x-rays, bone density scans and mammograms, mental health, and lab,” she said.

The Hamilton City Council met at 7 p.m. Monday, April 21 in the City Hall conference room. Much of the meeting dealt with budget items.
