The REPORTERMore than 100 athletes, Unified partners, coaches and support staff have been selected to represent Indiana at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games, which take place June 20 to 26, 2026 in Minneapolis. The USA Games include 16 sports with Team Indiana competing in 10: basketball, bocce, bowling, cornhole, flag football, golf, powerlifting, soccer, swimming and track and field.

The REPORTERMother Nature may have pushed the event back a week, but nothing could dampen the enthusiasm and support for the Hamilton Heights Educational Foundation’s (HHEF) 36th Annual Golf Scramble. Players and volunteers showed up in force helping to make this year’s outing a success raising over $20,000. This annual fundraiser which helps raise money to help elevate the educational experience for students at Hamilton Heights and provide extras they wouldn’t have otherwise.

The REPORTERWestfield’s Will Harvey is into the semifinals of the Indiana Golf Foundation’s Boys State Junior Championship. Harvey won two matches to reach the semis, with both of them taking place at the Kampen-Cosler Course at Purdue University. The soon-to-be Boilermakers freshman beat Roanoke’s Landon Snyder 3&2 in his Round of 16 match, then took care of Garrett’s Carter Demske in the quarterfinals.

The REPORTERHamilton Southeastern girls basketball star Kayla Stidham has committed to Bowling Green State University. Stidham, a senior-to-be for the Royals, made the announcement Tuesday with a post on X (formerly Twitter). She was an integral part of Southeastern’s regional championship team last season, averaging 10.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Stidham follows in the footsteps of her mother, Lisa Shepherd-Stidham, who played Division I basketball at Penn State.
