Twenty five years after the death of a brass-tacks hero, the same number of bikers, including world champions, mavericks and gritty stars nicknamed Foggy and Rocket, paraded through Ballymoney on Saturday. It was, literally, a moving tribute to a man likened to George Best in Northern Ireland, but the story of Joey Dunlop is a thriller, tragedy and family saga like no other. More than 50,000 people attended the funeral of Dunlop in 2000.

Sir Ben Ainslie and his Athena Racing team have become embroiled in an America's Cup row with Team New Zealand after accusing last year's winners of a lack of transparency in announcing Naples as the next venue. Athena Racing said that was "premature at best" and went on the attack alongside US counterparts American Magic. The American team also criticised Team New Zealand's lack of co-operation and warned they would have to withdraw unless there are meaningful changes to the draft rules.
