FLEMINGTON — Enjoy the good and ignore the bad. Those are best words of advice you could give the Hightstown High School softball team on Friday after its Cinderella-type season ended with a thud in a 10-0 setback to Hunterdon Central in the Central Jersey Group 4 championship game. COLUMBUS — Unlike last year when it won 23 games and reached a second straight Central Jersey Group 4 final, this season has been a rocky ride for the Northern Burlington softball team. There is one common thread, however, when it comes to state tournament play for NBC and it’s called winning. The late example occurred on Monday night when Northern Burlington defeated Lawrence, 4-2 in a C.J. 3 quarterfinal.
