LEHIGH COUNTY, Pa. - A fiery crash involving two tractor trailers on the Northeast Extension has a section of the highway near Emmaus in Lehigh County closed Tuesday. Multiple lanes are blocked on I-476 North, according to 511pa.com. As of 4:24 p.m., at least one lane opened on the northbound lanes. The turnpike was closed at the Quakertown exit. Drivers are advised to expect delays. Viewer video showed flames and heavy smoke billowing into the sky in the area.

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police have completed the rollout of body cameras. PSP leaders believe the devices have a profound influence on how policing is perceived. State Police have used money from their budget to acquire thousands of cameras, which troopers say will help improve the preparation of reports and testimony. "Approximately 3000 troopers will wear these cameras on a daily basis," said State Police Commissioner Christopher Paris.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- One person is in the hospital, and two firefighters were treated for injuries, after a fire broke out in Allentown Wednesday morning. Allentown Police Department Deputy Chief Matt Eharth called it an exhausting rescue. When they arrived around 7:40 firefighters rushed into the building and rescued two people. Everyone was the worse for wear when they came out. Lots of thick grey smoke billowed out of the roof at the 100 block of North 13th Street.

HARRISBURG, Pa. - The Interim Chancellor of the PA State System of Higher Education was in Harrisburg Tuesday. He testified before the Senate Appropriations Committee -- trying to freeze tuition for an eighth straight year. But the freeze is no longer a guarantee. Gov. Josh Shapiro, in his current budget proposal, asked for a $40-million increase over the current $660-million PASSHE budget.
