After several months of planning and construction the new Culver’s restaurant in Gratiot County’s Pine River Township is set to open. The Gratiot Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Friday. The new eatery is located at the corner of Alger and Cheesman roads, adjacent to the Michigan One Community Credit Union and in front of Family Farm & Home and Dollar Tree just south of Walmart.

This will be driven by copper’s role in both current and emerging technologies, as well as the world’s decarbonization goals,” says BHP’s chief commercial officer Rag Udd. A 12-year-old girl and a police officer were shot in Wise Township overnight Monday and police searched for the shooter with foot and car patrols, drones and a helicopter. A perimeter was established but the suspect remained at large into Tuesday mid-morning. State police have established a headquarters at Coleman City Hall and a public information officer is being sent from Sixth District Headquarters in Rockford.
