Huckabee announces evacuations of American citizens from Israel

With the possibility of the U.S. joining in strikes against Iran, the U.S. Ambassador, Mike Huckabee, is “working on evacuation flights and cruise ship departures” for Americans wanted to leave the country. The Arkansas Board of Corrections has approved $57 million dollars to design a new state prison to be located near Charleston in Franklin County. The proposed 3,000 bed prison has drawn the ire of those living in the area and even charges from an Indian tribe that the site is sacred land. The new contract is a “pay as you go” format, meaning the state will only be on the hook for money allocated and spent if the project is paused or changed in the future.

Sheridan City Council recognizes outstanding work by water department employees

Last month, storms caused damage to the South Sheridan Water Association’s treatment plant. This caused customers of that association and the Little Creek Water Association to see water pressure problems and eventually a boil order. Crews from the Sheridan Water Department worked around the clock to secure a fix and earlier this month, those four employees were recognized by the City Council

Tink Hence has continued to open eyes as decisions will soon be made as to where he will pitch next. Saturday, the former Watson Chapel pitcher struck out six in just 2 and 2/3rd innings and was pulled at his pitch count of 50. He has now pitched seven innings in rehab appearances, not giving up an earned run and striking out 9. He has pitched at Palm Beach and with the Cardinals rookie league team and could see himself in Springfield (AA) in the next couple of weeks.
