BMW has added another pillar to its growing investment in Canadian golf. The luxury automaker and the PGA of Canada have announced a three-prong partnership that will make BMW Canada the presenting sponsor of the RBC PGA Scramble and the Official Vehicle of the PGA Canada and the RBC PGA Scramble. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Protecting putting surfaces against the kind of winters to which Canada is subjected is the stuff that keeps Canadian golf course superintendents up at night. Swings in temperature, thunderstorms, sleet and a few heavy and wet snowstorms in Ontario in February and March made for anxious moments among the superintendent fraternity this off-season, especially those who worked through the horror show that resulted from the winter ice storms in 2014.
