ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) – It was already a successful year for girls basketball in Central Pennsylvania with Berlin-Brothersvalley and Bishop Guilfoyle winning PIAA Championships. On Thursday, 15 local players and two coaches were named to the Pennsylvania Sports Writers All-State Teams. After winning state titles, Marauders head coach Kristi Kaack and Mountaineers head coach Rachel Prosser were tabbed coach of the year in Class 1A and Class 2A.
