The City of Uvalde has released a new batch of footage related to the horrific shooting at Robb Elementary School in May 2022. This footage, which includes police body camera and dash camera videos, reveals the chaotic response. KPRC 2, and its parent company Graham Media Group, are among a group of television stations and other news outlets that sued the City of Uvalde for public information that was not being released. This is the second trove of footage released by the city, the first in August.

SPRING, Texas – The property owner of a nuisance Spring Branch home is accused of child abuse. After a concerned neighbor reached out to KPRC 2 earlier this week, further investigation revealed serious child abuse allegations against the property’s owners, who now have arrest warrants issued against them. BAYTOWN, Texas – A Baytown teacher is accused of sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl at his wife’s home daycare, according to the Baytown Police Department. Jingco Hespero Jingco, 56, has been charged with super aggravated sexual assault of a child. Jingco worked as a teacher at Baytown Christian Academy but is no longer an employee since the recent allegations.

The growing debate over whether cell phones should be allowed in classrooms is something state lawmakers may weigh in on. Texas Education Agency Commissioner Mike Morath endorsed a potential ban on cell phones in classrooms during a state Senate education hearing. He argues cell phones impacts students’ mental health and overall focus in the classroom. “We have schools all over the state that have proactively taken an approach to banning cellphones,” Morath said Wednesday.
