It's 2024 and you all know what that means...it's a leap year so women can propose, right? Wrong! Though tradition dictates that women are 'allowed' to propose to their partners during a leap year, we're more of the opinion that women can propose whenever they want - and we hope you agree. The wedding tradition of leap year proposals originated in Ireland yonks ago, and Irish monks then took it to Scotland in 1288 and turned it into a law which stated that women could propose during leap years.
