MULTIPLE areas of Spain have been issued with Status Orange storm warnings for tomorrow as wintery weather sweeps across the country. Holidaymakers heading for the sunshine hotspot have been warned to expect heavy rain, hail, temperatures swings and even snow as unsettled and unstable conditions tip the weather balance. Andalusia, Aragon, Castile and Leon, Castile-La Mancha, Catalonia, Galicia, Madrid, Murcia and Valencia have been slapped with the storm alerts from around 12pm tomorrow afternoon.

A MONTHLY €360 social welfare payment will not be extended for the care of children up to 18 years of age, it has been confirmed. The non means-tested cash, which is received by 58,416 Irish families, is currently only available for those aged up to 16-years-old. Domiciliary Care Allowance is a monthly payment for children aged under 16 with a severe disability.

Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene of the single-vehicle crash in Glen on Clare Island at around 1pm yesterday. The man, who was the driver and only person in the car, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident.

GARDAI are urgently searching for a missing 14-year-old girl who has been reported missing from Co Sligo for two days. Lily Reilly was last seen in Sligo town on the May Bank Holiday Monday. Gardai said they are "concerned" for the young girls wellbeing. Lily is described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a slim build, brown hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, black leggings and carrying a cream handbag.

THE amount that a person can earn to avail of a weekly €447 social welfare payment will increase this summer. The shake-up meanseven more people will qualifyfor the payment - including those with annual incomes of up to €97,000. Theweekly income disregard for the Carer's Allowance payment is being uppedfrom €450 to €625 for a single person, and from €900 to €1,250 for a person with a spouse or partner.
