Just days after Tesla unveiled the most important product in its current lineup, the refreshed 2025 Tesla Model Y, a production version of the car was spotted in Shanghai. This sighting comes just after the news of over 50,000 reservations being gathered by Tesla in just over a day of the configurator going live in China. One of these spotted Model Y vehicles is in Tesla’s new light blue which Tesla calls “Glacier Blue”.

MG’s parent company, SAIC’s Australian-bound upcoming IM brand’s first EV, has been spotted testing locally in Sydney. Photos of a partially covered white IM LS6 electric SUV were taken by RG S and shared on MG4 owners Australia’s facebook group. The photos show a covered front and interior around the steering wheel, show a parked car currently undergoing testing.

BYD has today slashed prices across its entire EV lineup with prices starting at $29,990 for its entry-level Dolphin electric hatchback model. Prices have been cut as much as $5,900 on some variants as the brand looks at dominating EV sales in 2025. Starting with the BYD Dolphin which sees the introduction of the Essential variant with the headline price of under $30,000 before on-roads.

Chery’s Omoda E5 electric SUV has joined the list of growing EV models to see price cuts to kickstart 2025, making the SUV the cheapest in the country. The latest offer sees the E5 start at $36,990 before on-road costs, down $6,000 over the launch pricing. This is for the entry BX model, which delivers up to 430 km of WLTP range and the Omoda E5 is also quite safe on the road, having received a 5-star ANCAP safety rating only months earlier.
