City Council recently approved a $5 million tax increment financing plan for a medical center that will include an ASC. 2. A new ASC is under construction at a shopping center in Cookeville, Tenn. 3. Panoramic Health opened a Brandon, Fla.-based ASC in partnership with Tampa, Fla.-based Florida Kidney Physicians, the state's largest nephrology group.

Virginia is the state where people have the highest income, according to personal finance site WalletHub. In a report released June 4, WalletHub determined the states where people have the best incomes. The site compared the 50 states and Washington, D.C., based on three metrics measuring income for different segments of the population, adjusted for the cost of living index: average annual income of the top 5%, median annual household income and average annual income of the bottom 20%.

Here are seven medical office building deals that total more than $121 million that Becker's has reported on since May 1: 1. Sila Realty Trust acquired a medical outpatient building in Reading, Pa., for $10.5 million. 2. A Jacksonville, Fla.-based medical office building sold for $12.05 million. 3. A 10-story medical office building in Boston has been acquired for $36.4 million. 4. Anchor Health Properties acquired a 70,418-square-foot medical office building in Sarasota, Fla., for $31.8 million.

- The FDA has approved Bkemv as the first interchangeable biosimilar to Soliris to treat certain rare diseases. Bkemv is approved for the treatment of patients with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria and for those with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome, according to a May 28 news release from the FDA. Bkemv is the 53rd approved biosimilar in the U.S.
