Polls show a dead heat across most of the swing states, but MVP Kamala Harris has multiple paths to an electoral college victory, while Trump can’t afford to lose a single swing state. Climate hawks have been working our hearts out for months, but over and over again we’ve heard from volunteers can’t make enough calls for Kirsten Engel in AZ-06.

Kirsten Engel is a law professor and former state legislator who also wrote the Massachusetts vs. EPA brief asking the Supreme Court to regulate greenhouse gasses. That precedent was overturned when the radical US Supreme Court ruled in West Virginia vs EPA, just like they overturned Roe v Wade and stripped away the right to privacy and reproductive health care from millions of Arizonan and American women.

President Biden’s administration has proposed updates to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) that would repair dangerous Trump-era weakening of NEPA regulations. The new rules have the opportunity to protect our climate and communities, while ensuring community input and involvement. But, we have to act fast — comments on the draft rule are due September 29, and fossil fuels and climate deniers are already trying to gut the draft rules before they’re finalized.
