A professional wrestler who almost died after breaking his neck during a match said he was "determined" to return to the ring. Lee Mitchell, from Hopton-on-Sea, Norfolk, was injured while competing in Colchester on 1 December. While doctors have said he will never wrestle again, the 32-year-old - who wrestles as Mitchell Starr - said he hoped to make a comeback in "two years tops". A 24-hour fundraising "wrestlethon" is currently under way in Norwich to help support his rehabilitation.

BBC Radio Norfolk has learned that Norwich City are close to completing a deal to sign winger Matej Jurasek from Slavia Prague. The 21-year-old has made one international appearance for the Czech Republic and there is confidence on both sides a deal can be done. Jurasek has played in both the Champions and Europa Leagues for Slavia, with whom he has won the Czech top-flight title for the past two seasons. He made his international debut in a friendly against Armenia in March 2024.
