30-year-old Zackery Ryan Gardner of English Oak Drive in Lincolnton was arrested Saturday (June 7) charged with 10 felony counts of shooting into an occupied property. On Saturday, deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man after shots were fired at neighbor’s homes. The incident occurred near the 3800 block of English Oak Drive in Lincolnton. Deputies say a man shot in the direction of two occupied homes in the neighborhood, hitting at least one multiple times.

A Statesville man was killed in a crash Friday (June 6) in Iredell County. The deceased is 38-year-old Elmer Adalberto Romero Giron. On Friday at approximately 7:50 p.m., the NC State Highway Patrol responded to I-77 South near mile marker 64 in Harmony. A 1999 Ford Ranger traveling south lost control, drove off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail, overturned, and went down an embankment. The driver of the Ford, Elmer Adalberto Romero Giron passed away from his injuries at the scene.

An arrest has been made in an Alexander County case in which shots were reportedly fired. 44-year-old Christopher Edward Bryck of Taylorsville was arrested Friday (June 6) by Alexander County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault by pointing a gun. Shortly before 1 a.m. Friday, the Alexander County 911 Center received a call reporting shots fired at a residence while individuals were inside.

Four of the suspects arrested in connection to the June 1 mass shooting at a house party on Walnut Acres Drive in Mountain View face additional charges. The incident resulted in the death of 58-year-old Shawn Patrick Hood of Lenoir and injuries to eleven other people. Ten additional counts each of attempted first-degree murder have been filed against Toland Huff Jr., Zachary Bates, Izaiah Mitchell and Ke’andre Mack (pictured in that order, L-R).

33-year-old Xzavier Latrell Smith of Conover, was sentenced to serve six to eight years in prison following his conviction for trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of firearm by felon. He was sentenced during Catawba County Superior Court on Thursday (June 5).
