Novak Djokovic has admitted to feeling "bad" that he was unable to attend Rafael Nadal's farewell to tennis. The Spanish star said goodbye to the game in an emotional send-off at the Davis Cup Finals, as he represented his country for the final time. Things, however, didn't go exactly to plan, with Spain losing to the Netherlands in the quarter-finals, therefore depriving Nadal of the chance to go out on a winning note.

Joao Fonseca revealed his two tennis idols after shocking the world by ousting ninth seed Andrey Rublev from the Australian Open. Fonseca, 18, might have pulled up trees on the junior circuit - winning the US Open boys singles title in 2023, becoming junior world No. 1 as well as triumphing at the Next Gen Finals last year - but this was his first ever Grand Slam main-draw match.
