The Montreal Alouettes are Grey Cup champs!After a slow start to the season, the Als claimed the league championship Sunday night in Hamilton against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers with a come from behind 28-24 win. Fans were treated to a half time show starring Green Day performing a four song set including Holiday, Boulevard Of Broken Dreams, Basket Case and their new song The American Dream Is Killing Me. Simone Soman of Waterdown, Ont., sang "O Canada" prior to kickoff.

With the arrival of November you’ve no doubt noticed people with Poppies pinned to their lapels. A reminder to pick one up wherever available before November 11th. Starting this weekend there are a number of Remembrance Day ceremonies happening in and around Montreal. The Beat 925 will take a moment on the 11th at 11am to honour the bravery and sacrifice of all those who serve and have given their lives while serving our country. We will remember them.

If you’ve ever done any home renovations you’ll know that spilling paint is the absolute worst. A Montreal truck driver experienced that nightmare on Tuesday morning at the end of rush hour when the load of paint he was transporting spilled across Highway 40 leading up the Decarie Circle. The spill happened around 8am and closed the eastbound Trans Canada between Cote Vertu and Cavendish backing traffic up for over a kilometre until about 3pm when Transport Quebec started to reopen the highway.
