The Blue Jays, losers of four in a row at the time, appeared to be bottoming out last Wednesday after a second blown-lead loss to the lowly Angels. Then they suddenly win four in a row, score runs with the same ease that Brad Marchand gets under Leafs players’ skin and return to .500. The Maple Leafs head to Florida leading the Panthers 2-0 and return having flipped from a position of command in the best-of-seven series to a worrisome 2-2.

The Addison Barger magic continued with a line drive home run in the seventh inning, his first of the season. Barger was the most prolific batter in the Mariners series, with three doubles in a 6-4 win on Friday. Barger's home run came with such a mighty swat that it knocked the batting helmet off his head. RT @TheTorontoSun: Will surging offence be enough to power Blue Jays through roller-coaster season? From @longleysunsport https://t.co/rGNT…

Chandler Simpson double and a Brandon Lowe single follow and the Rays jump out to a 2-0 lead.

And like those fans have seen many times, Jansen hit by a pitch and takes first to lead off the second.

Nice applause for Danny Jansen as he heads to the plate for his first at-bat. A well-deserved fan favourite during his #Bluejays years.
