For 50 minutes of their Week 3 win in Dallas, the Ravens completely dominated the game. They were up 28-6, they were doing whatever they wanted on offense and the defense was shutting the Cowboys’ attack down. Then, you go into the prevent defense, fail to defend an onsides kick, have a really bad roughing the passer call go against you and all of a sudden, we are starting to talk about whether or not John Harbaugh should be allowed on the plane if they lose this game.

The Ravens have begun preparations to defend their AFC North crown with training camp now under way. This was a no pads practice and Lamar Jackson did not practice due to being sick. Here are some highlights. Derrick Henry is an absolute monster. I know this isn’t exactly new info to any of us but seeing him in person on field level really hammers home just how big he is. He looked comfortable in the offense during what little was done today. He caught some passes as well.

As O’s fans, we got the best news we could have possibly hoped for recently when we found out that a group led by Baltimore native and long time O’s fan, David Rubenstein, was purchasing a majority stake (eventually 70%) in the team. Since then, visions of an increased payroll have been dancing in our heads. Along with this came hope for long-term contract extensions for some of our young players, hopes that had heretofore been nothing but pipe dreams.

It was a very rough 48 hours or so in Baltimore after the Ravens imploded on themselves against the Chiefs with a chance to go to a Super Bowl. The city was down and its sports fans were devastated. But then, out of nowhere, the greatest news was leaked….the Baltimore Orioles were being sold.

If you are a Baltimore sports fan, and you were born after 1997, the question of which local franchise is set up better, the Ravens or the Orioles, would have been a one-sided answer. In that time period, the Ravens have two Super Bowl titles and several playoff appearances.
