Tournament season starts for the VCU Rams men's basketball team Friday morning at 11:30 a.m., when they face St. Bonaventure in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 tournament in Washington, D.C.By all accounts, it has been a wildly successful season for the Rams. Senior Max Shulga was named the conference's player of the year, and VCU won 15 of its 16 games at the Siegel Center, in addition to claiming the conference title.

Warm winds Wednesday arrive before rain and potential thunderstorms. Smaller showers will also race through before the primary batch of rain arrives between midday and early afternoon, and once that arrives, be on the lookout for some damaging winds. Even before the rain, winds will regularly be 10-20 mph on Wednesday, with the gustiest winds happening as the most intense rain moves through. But there likely won't be much thunder and lightning to go with the strongest winds.

Midway through a multi-year rezoning process, Richmond is holding a series of open houses this week to introduce residents to potential new zoning districts. The process, which will run through the end of the year, will ultimately seek to overhaul Richmond’s zoning code for the first time since 1976, and is guided by the Richmond 300 master plan. The current zoning code has 30 districts, while the new proposal has 23.
