If you saw a picture of Lorde's outfit at the Met Gala on Monday, you've also gotten a bit of a preview of her new album, Virgin. Lorde wore an outfit designed by Thom Browne -- a silvery-gray corseted skirt and a backless "floating" bra top with a matching suit jacket. While on the red carpet she told Vogue that the outfit was "something of an Easter egg” for the new album. She added, "All will be revealed. I just love the open back. To me it represents where I’m at gender-wise.

Fitz and the Tantrums will shoot for the stars on July 25th with the release of Man on the Moon, their first album in three years. They're teasing the set with a video for the title track, which Fitz describes by saying, “The feelings and ideas that I wanted to write about just kept pointing us back in the Motown/soul direction. Honestly, it kinda felt like coming home.”The band will kick off a tour in support of the album on July 24th in San Diego.

Today is Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann's 79th birthday. Happy Birthday!in other Dead news, This August 9th marks the 30th anniversary of the death of Grateful Dead leader, singer and guitarist Jerry Garcia at 53. To commemorate the anniversary, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors has approved a resolution to rename Harrington Street, a one-block street in the Excelsior District, Jerry Garcia Street.

Point Blank, at the Halcyon Gallery, which has previously displayed his paintings and iron sculptures, is based on original sketches he did between 2021 and 2022. They depict people playing instruments, couples, sportspeople – along with rooms and places where Dylan spent time. He then painted over the drawing with vivid colors to create what he says are “living, breathing entities that have emotional resonance, colors used as weapons and mood setters, a means of storytelling.
