In December 2018, and again in February 2019, Donald Trump bragged about how he defeated 100% of ISIS in Syria. He obviously didn’t do a great job because, in December last year, ISIS and al-Qaeda just repackaged themselves, bounced back, invaded Syria and deposed Assad. In an earlier article, I questioned whether Donald Trump would protect Benjamin Netanyahu from the ICC arrest warrant and respect and adhere to the international rule of law. The virtuoso singer-songwriter and bassist behind multiple platinum-hit albums such as Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall addressed diplomats via Zoom in New York, where the UNSC had met to discuss Ukraine – just days before the anniversary of the conflict. One of the suspects allegedly involved in Tuesday’s brazen and bloody CIT heist on Durban’s N2 highway was killed later that day in Berea during a gunfight with police. In a media statement released late Tuesday, SAPS confirmed that a second suspect was seriously wounded in the shootout and remains in critical condition. Police also claim the two suspects are linked to at least five murders in the province.
