In December 2022, the Board of Directors of the Association for Psychological Science (APS) became aware of specific concerns about the editorial practices of Klaus Fiedler, then the editor-in-chief (EIC) of the APS journal Perspectives on Psychological Science. These concerns were not reported directly to APS; rather, a manuscript detailing these issues was publicly disseminated by its author, Steven O. Roberts, including correspondence with the editor.
