In a time defined by anxiety and division, witnessing spontaneous acts of public affection is a welcome change. As a street photographer in the DMV area, I frequently capture scenes where love’s symbols and moments unexpectedly emerge. I find solace in witnessing a kiss, a glance, a simple touch on a crowded street or even a moment in nature, like when I anticipated and photographed two pigeons kissing.
