The beautiful weather continues this weekend with abundant sunshine. The only difference between today and Sunday will be the temperature. This afternoon brings highs into the mid 70s, while Sunday gets into the low 80s. Once we get to the 80s, we stay that way into most if not all of next week. Our next chance of showers and storms arrives Wednesday night.

After a warm Friday, the east breeze is back for a cooler start to the weekend. Despite sunshine, an east breeze keeps us cool Saturday with highs only in the mid-50s in the afternoon. The wind changes direction Sunday, and the south breeze will see gusts up to 25-30 mph. This also brings in much warmer air, with highs near 80 degrees. The sunshine and warm temperatures continue into the start of the week.

Temperatures remain cool Thursday thanks to the east breeze off the cold early May waters of Lake Superior. Despite sunshine, highs are yet again only getting to the low 50s. The winds do change directions Friday, however, and a south breeze will skyrocket highs back to the mid-70s. After a chance of showers Friday evening, an east wind returns Saturday with highs in the upper 50s.
