Well, it really did happen: Oblivion Remastered was shadow dropped on the 22nd April, following months of leaks and rumours. The hype really started to build last week, as the weekend crept closer and closer. Nostalgia for the open world RPG whipped many fans into an absolute frenzy, and we'd be more than willing to bet that Bethesda has made a lot of money from immediate sales. This is the power of a shadow drop, we suppose.

It's been a few months since Dynasty Warriors: Origins restored our faith in Koei Tecmo's hack and slash franchise, but it's still nice to see the game getting a fresh update. Patch 1.005 is just a few hundred MB in terms of download size, but it adds a couple of cool extras. First up, there's now a fully fledged photo mode to play around with. Given how good Origins can look — especially in the heat of climactic battle — this is bound to produce some stunning pics.

The so-called Festival of Accord is now live in Monster Hunter: Wilds, offering plenty of incentives for players to get stuck back into the action RPG over the next couple of weeks. Head over to the Grand Hub (assuming you've got far enough into the game) and you'll find that it's drowning in springtime decoration. Really, it's all about cosmetics: Alma's got a new costume she can wear, and you can craft two new sets of armour (technically four, counting the dual designs).

As many of the recent leaks suggested, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is out today on PS5, following its official reveal. It may bear the 'Remastered' title, but this revival definitely leans towards the remake side of things. Built on Unreal Engine 5, this is a ground-up graphical overhaul, complete with numerous gameplay tweaks across the entire experience. However, the basis for the game is the old Oblivion — so you can expect the same in-game physics and overall structure.
