Assassin's Creed Shadows has been a much needed hit for Ubisoft amongst its business-side woes, and its success has actually prompted the publisher to push back other projects. You may recall that Shadows itself was delayed well beyond its original November 2024 release date. It was first moved to February 2025, before being delayed again to the 20th March — the date that ended up sticking.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been a disaster of unprecedented proportions for publisher Warner Bros, and the company's latest financial report reveals that the ill-fated release is still doing damage. The company suffered a sharp 48% decrease in games revenue over the first quarter of 2025. Of course, it didn't actually launch any new titles in that time, but at least in part, that's down to the ongoing ramifications of Suicide Squad's colossal underperformance.

Assassin's Creed Shadows' first crossover has been revealed — and it's with evergreen multiplayer title Dead by Daylight. All we have to go on at the time of writing is a social media teaser. "Step into The Fog. A new Dead by Daylight quest begins. Slip through the shadows. Survive the ordeal," it reads. The text is accompanied by a looping video of dual protagonists Naoe and Yasuke standing by a fire, with an ominous figure watching over them.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is just a week away from its PS5 release, and its first review is positively glowing. The Level-5 RPG's been a long time coming, given that the original Fantasy Life launched for the 3DS all the way back in 2014. And according to the latest issue of Japanese publication Famitsu, it's been well worth the wait.

Square Enix has outlined something of an overhaul to its business, in response to its financial report for the fiscal year. As you might have guessed, said report wasn't overly positive. The publisher's net sales were down 8.9% year-on-year, making for a largely average performance. To be fair, Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake was pretty much the company's only 'big' release over the period, and it actually sold better than expected.
