DR. WALLACE: Before you know it, summer will be here, and that's good. But since last fall, I've gained about 8 pounds, which is bad. I usually spend a great deal of time during the summer wearing a swimsuit at the ocean's edge, so I need to lose those naughty extra pounds. I've already started a low-calorie, healthy diet. Since I don't eat a big breakfast, I was thinking of eliminating breakfast altogether. My grandmother does not think this is a good idea.

DR. WALLACE: No lectures, please: I just seek factual information with my request here. I'm 17, and I consume a fair share of alcohol. It's mostly beer, but I do imbibe some harder "hooch" once in a while, too. I read an article in a magazine recently that said alcohol affects the teen brain more than the adult brain, and by affect, I mean harm. Is this a fact? Or do magazines just like to write sensational articles to attract readers?

DR. WALLACE: My boyfriend and I dated steadily for 18 months. He was the perfect guy. He was sweet, polite, sensitive, caring and humorous, and he treated me wonderfully. We even talked about having sex when we were ready to accept the responsibility, but he never pressured me to become physical early on in our relationship. After many further discussions, we both agreed that sharing sex would be the ultimate display of love and would seal our love forever. He and I only ended up having sex two times.
