Sweet Oz! As Wicked fans, my son and I were defying gravity this morning—finally, the first official full trailer for Wicked: For Good is out. Before we started our day, I sat down with my 8-year-old son to watch the trailer to the much-anticipated Wicked sequel. The video was released on Wednesday, June 4, but we didn’t catch it until Thursday morning (turning off my phone and going to bed early is one of my favorite hobbies). And, by Oz, it did not disappoint.

I’m a lifelong Star Wars mega-fan. The first movie I saw in the theaters was Return of the Jedi. So when I was pregnant and it came time to name my son, I really wanted a Star Wars baby name. My husband was less and then thrilled and we went back and forth on several options. I really wanted Luke, but we compromised on Lucas. Little did he know that Lucas was also an homage to the man who created it all—George Lucas. My son is now 8 and deep into the throws of a Star Wars obsession.
