Every year, police departments nationwide initiate thousands of high-speed car chases, often with little public inquiry regarding protocols and policy. But recently, this practice has come under closer scrutiny in San Diego following the deaths of two young children, a teen driver, and an officer as a result of dangerous high-speed police chases.
