Hale is one of the soldiers sent by the United States to repel the Chimera invasion in England. He squad is wiped out, but Hale somehow manages to resist infection by the Chimera virus. In Resistance 2, Hale fights the Chimera while trying to fight off the Chimera virus that is overtaking him.
