Don’t look now but Sparks have gone quite mad. 28 albums in and they’re producing work that out-strips their peers, and challenges artists more than half their age. Hotel Lux have shared new single ‘Another One Gone’. The band are a phenomenal live act, and their long-awaited 2023 debut album ‘Hands Across The Creek‘ was a sprawl of unruly guitar-led music-making.

TOPS will release new album ‘Bury The Key’ on August 22nd. The band emerged from the Montreal DIY scene in the 2010s, blending raw production values and a defiantly independent spirit with an excellent ear for pop melodies. Barney Keen might well be your favourite musician’s favourite musician. He’s worked at some of the top studios in London, and has been cited by an imposing array of top tier songwriters. New single ‘FFFFF’ adds another page to her masterplan, and it’s an addictive, ultra-transfixing work of sonic art.

Shocked to hear this. Patrick was a lifelong Dundee fan and spearheaded Dees Down South - a supporters group for Dark Blues in London. Always a force to be reckoned with in the WhatsApp group, he was deeply committed to the club. Sad news.
