    NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Isabel Allen, a three-time member of national championship teams, has been accepted into Vanderbilt’s graduate program and will use her final season of NCAA eligibility on the Commodore bowling team. The Tamworth, England, native was a starter for the 2022 McKendree NCAA and 2023 Intercollegiate Team champions and the recent 2024 Jacksonville State NCAA champions. She received her undergraduate degree in integrated studies from Jacksonville State in May.

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A pair of California junior stars and one of the top juniors in the northeast comprise Vanderbilt bowling’s recruiting class of 2024, as announced by head coach John Williamson. Sydney Bohn of Jackson, New Jersey, and Stephanie Hong of Fullerton, California, along with Saphyre Nofuente of Rocklin, California, are heading to Vanderbilt’s campus this fall. “We are so happy to welcome these three talented young women to our university and our bowling program,” Williamson said.

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Five former Vanderbilt bowling stars were honored by the U.S. Bowling Congress Wednesday night during the organization’s annual “Night of Champions.”The dinner, held during the week of the Intercollegiate Singles Championship (of which Vanderbilt’s Natalie Kent is a semifinalist) and Intercollegiate Team Championships, spotlighted a number of the USBC’s initiatives including a salute to collegiate bowling’s all-time four-time All-America first and second team members.

    JEFFERSONTOWN, Ky. — Vanderbilt’s Natalie Kent advanced to Saturday’s semifinal round of the USBC’s Intercollegiate Singles Championship Tuesday while Kaylee Hitt, Vanderbilt’s other representative in this national tournament, was eliminated. Kent, a rising sophomore from Newark, New York, defeated North Carolina A&T’s Chloe Newberry, 577-546, and Kayla Smith of Jacksonville State, 665-650, to reach the semifinals, which will be televised on a delayed basis in May by CBS Sports.

    ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Very little came easy for Vanderbilt’s bowling team as it advanced to Saturday’s fourth round of the NCAA Regional, bouncing back with a victory over William Smith after losing to a red-hot Merrimack in Friday’s opening match. The Commodores will have a quick rematch with Merrimack Saturday morning at 8 a.m. CT after the Warriors fell to Arkansas State in the afternoon session.
