    Kinaxia Logistics has added the first fully-electric Volvo HGV to its fleet, which will move stock for Vaillant – manufacturer of heat pumps and high-efficiency boilers. The new Volvo FM 4×2 tractor unit, which has a range of 200 miles and is powered by six batteries and three electric motors, was supplied by Volvo dealer Thomas Hardie Commercials.

    Royal Mail, in partnership with Magtec, is trialling two new 19-tonne electric trucks in its fleet to assess their performance against its existing diesel vehicles. The first model will be based at the organisation’s Greenford Mail Centre in northwest London and will deliver and collect mail to and from nearby delivery offices. Flexible battery options mean that the truck will be able to cover up to 125 miles on a single charge – enough to cover the majority of urban delivery routes.

    Independent energy supplier PE has partnered with Michels & Taylor (M&T) Hotel Management to rollout new EV charging stations across its UK-managed hotel portfolio. The twin-socketed charging stations provide up to 22kW of charge for two vehicles and installation is now complete at Hilton Bournemouth, DoubleTree by Hilton Elstree and DoubleTree by Hilton Stoke-on-Trent.

    Northern Ireland-based zero-emission bus manufacturer Wrightbus has delivered 12 new hydrogen vehicles to German operator WestVerkehr. The latest order completion of Kite Hydroliner single decks means there are now 43 of its hydrogen-powered buses on the streets of Germany – with about 130 due to be on the roads by the end of 2025.
