On the other hand, I had to wonder how many people under the age of 30 know who Roger Daltrey is and was. To underscore the latter perception, Omaha Magazine posted a video on social media wherein one of their “reporters” asked random kids if they knew Daltrey’s music. You can imagine the results.

The Who haven’t been on stage for months but don’t worry, I’ve been in training. On my 80th birthday three weeks ago, I stood up for ten whole minutes. It’s always a nerve-racking week but this year I’m doing two nights with the Who and one with my own little band, and I’ve got to do my compere bit as well. My stomach’s in knots and I won’t sleep or eat much all week. These shows are so important for Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT): we’re still digging ourselves out of the hole left in March 2020.
