    I am sure that I am not alone. My life is dominated by a series of electronic devices which include a MacBook, an iPad, an iPhone (providers other than Apple are available) and a Kindle. It is not so much the fact that my whole life is on these devices, having fallen totally for the convenience of the digital age, but the almost continual obsession that develops – a ‘lust for power’ if you will – with keeping them charged.

    Although we have recently published evidence of people voting with their feet with regard to Covid vaccine take-up, there are few grounds for believing that the millions of words written disproving the ‘safe and effective’ mantra have influenced government establishment at all. In fact, what we have seen is denial and pushback.

    I am sure that one should not take pleasure in others’ misery. The Left’s congenital schadenfreude whenever conservatives are convicted of thought crimes notwithstanding, two wrongs never make a right. But, by God am I enjoying the left-wing liberal meltdown following the resounding victory of Donald Trump in the US elections. “How can I count the ways?” comes to mind.

    We hear plenty about ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ a condition described as ‘a mental condition in which a person has been driven effectively insane due to their dislike of Donald Trump, to the point at which they will abandon all logic and reason.’ While it didn’t have a name, a similar syndrome was attached to Margaret Thatcher and that one seems, truly, to be infectious.
