I am sure that I am not alone. My life is dominated by a series of electronic devices which include a MacBook, an iPad, an iPhone (providers other than Apple are available) and a Kindle. It is not so much the fact that my whole life is on these devices, having fallen totally for the convenience of the digital age, but the almost continual obsession that develops – a ‘lust for power’ if you will – with keeping them charged.

Although we have recently published evidence of people voting with their feet with regard to Covid vaccine take-up, there are few grounds for believing that the millions of words written disproving the ‘safe and effective’ mantra have influenced government establishment at all. In fact, what we have seen is denial and pushback.

I am sure that one should not take pleasure in others’ misery. The Left’s congenital schadenfreude whenever conservatives are convicted of thought crimes notwithstanding, two wrongs never make a right. But, by God am I enjoying the left-wing liberal meltdown following the resounding victory of Donald Trump in the US elections.
“How can I count the ways?” comes to mind.

We hear plenty about ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ a condition described as ‘a mental condition in which a person has been driven effectively insane due to their dislike of Donald Trump, to the point at which they will abandon all logic and reason.’ While it didn’t have a name, a similar syndrome was attached to Margaret Thatcher and that one seems, truly, to be infectious.

You would imagine that proposals to devolve politically the area where you live would be big news, especially in the area where you live. But the first I knew about this was when I saw a sticker with a QR code at a bus stop in Hull. We were exhorted to “have our say” on the proposals which were published on November 23rd 2023 for a Hull and East Yorkshire Devolution Deal.

HARDLY a week passed last year without some revelation about long Covid, and Global Health Now (GHN), no stranger to the pages of TCW, has been at the forefront of whipping up global concern about a disease which may not even exist. TCW has catalogued much of this nonsense. GHN has struck again with a report picked up in its ‘go to’ source for all manner of Covid related hysteria, CIDRAP (the newsletter of the Center for Infectious Disease Research & Policy, University of Minnesota).

Truth is often referred to as the first casualty of war. But in the world as it is now, truth died long ago. We have two major conflicts underway which are based on lies; lies about who did what and why they did it. Those lies are fuelled daily and lead to futile debates about whether one is a war for freedom or whether the other is an act of genocide. Ironically, our leaders happily supply armaments to one war which has, probably, conservatively while calling for a ceasefire in another that has .

There is nothing like inclement weather to bring the best out of the nanny state. We are having some stormy weather here in the UK and you could, honestly, be forgiven for thinking that wind is a completely new phenomenon. We are experiencing Storm Isha, soon to be followed by Storm Jocelyn and we must not let these innocuous and pleasant sounding names fool us into thinking that these will be mild puffs of wind.

News broke this week about how the mRNA vaccine, the one made by Pfizer, has another danger associated with it. Life is just full of surprises. According to an article in Nature which was reported in Science the Pfizer mRNA vaccine produces unintended proteins. But, of course, we are assured that there is no evidence of harm. Where have we heard that before? In these pages we have reported copiously the harms the Covid-19 vaccines have done, both the Astrazeneca vaccine and the Pfizer vaccine.
