Speed is important. Being able to game at blistering speeds, wringing frames out of every bit of the hardware you’ve installed, is what every gamer strives to achieve. There’s another use case that might not require as much speed, with a far greater emphasis on stability and capacity. If you’re a creator, you know that it doesn’t matter how fast your hardware is if it crashes in the middle of a render, because that’s all lost time to render it again.

If there's one thing that combines like peanut butter and chocolate for me it's science and survival crafting. Games that drop you into a hostile environment and say "Survive...or don't", leaving you to figure out not only how to survive in your new "home", but if possible, thrive. That's precisely what Horizon Journey is promising as they head to Steam, and today we can announce that not only is there a release date, we will also see a demo ahead of that launch.

Whether you use your NAS for simple block storage, a video filestore for your Plex, or as a coordination point for your multimedia team, you're probably as frustrated as I am about how lackluster the current offerings on the market. I use a large NAS from a manufacturer who has been making some very public and very foolish mistakes with their platform, moving away from flexibility and towards proprietary technology.

The teams at Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive took a break from killing Tyranids in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 to prep us for their next big upcoming game, RoadCraft. In RoadCraft you'll have the chance to get out there and build and rebuild with heavy-machinery. In this CGI trailer I got a shot of nostalgia, drawing that direct parallel between the heavy duty construction toys, and the big kid version used for full scale construction.

It seems like every day we see prices soaring, but the team at XREAL are putting their flagship Air 2 and Air 2 Pro AR glasses on sale from now until 5/6. Priced at $299 and $399 respectively, you can snap up these augmented reality glasses for a limited time at either $50 or $100 off. I had an opportunity to try these out with a Steamdeck at a trade show recently, and frankly it's something you have to see to fully wrap your head around.

Watching the Paris opening ceremony, I would have much preferred to hear the music of the ceremony than the awful commentary. Learn audio ducking as well. I can recommend some good videos on the subject.
