    Members of the tri-county Area Agency on Aging’s Citizens Advisory Council listened to a dismal financial report Friday morning that calls for “grassroots efforts” to entice badly-needed funding. That was the urgent message delivered by AAA executive director Connie Brode who oversees valuable services for senior citizens of Huntingdon, Bedford and Fulton counties.     While rain is certainly necessary for growing flowers and gardens, the recent downpours have hindered the completion of the H&BT Rail Trail in Broad Top and Liberty township, Bedford County.     With hopes of attracting new members, the Watson & Black American Legion Post 126, Broad Top City, has launched a new recruitment campaign. The decline in post membership was one of several matters addressed by members of the veterans’ group who gathered recently for their monthly meeting in the post home.     Patrons of the 12.6-mile H&BT Rail Trail will be pleased to learn that the final section of the recreational path is scheduled for completion early this summer.
