Brian Kelly is worried about some kind of deficit SEC Football has with the Big Ten. He would be better served focusing on LSU. When describing Brian Kelly, two things are certain. He is a good football coach, and he loves to make bold statements. At the recent SEC meetings, Kelly said, " The Big Ten right now holds it on the SEC,” Kelly said. They’ve won the last two national championships, OK? That’s the reality of it.

In the spiraling debate over future college football Playoff formats, Greg Sankey is more right than wrong. Let's be real. College football does have a Power Four. At the top is a Power Two of the SEC and the Big Ten. Below the Power Two are the ACC and the Big 12, and the gap in power is not small. Then there is a basically insignificant Group of Six. The game took a mental and physical toll on Meyer.

In an offseason like no other, the college sports world appears poised for massive and stunning changes. A few days ago, a suggestion that Greg Sankey should kick Tennessee out of the SEC was more fanciful than practical. While the Vols and their henchmen in the Tennessee State Legislature obviously intend to ignore any sensible constraint on paying players, expulsion from the SEC would surely never happen. It now appears that a threat of expulsion is no longer implausible.
